Monsoon Accessorize Trust online Boutique to launch in October 2011

Monsoon will launch its online fairtrade initiative, the Monsoon Trust Boutique, this October 2011, selling exquisite and innovative ethically produced pieces. Home furnishings, childrenswear and kitchenwear will be available as well as accessories, stationery and seasonal items.

The Monsoon Trust Boutique aims to create livelihoods for craft communities in India by giving them access to markets and raising funds for women's and children's health and educational projects throughout Asia. 100% of profits will go to the Monsoon Accessorize Trust.

I have been with Monsoon for over 20 years and the charity has been very dear to me. Winning the raffle was like an early Christmas present!

Nothing could have prepared us for visiting the slum. You had to go and see the rawness, smell it and feel for the people that call it 'home'.

All the projects targeted different problems. I was moved by the women at SEWA, their passion and strength to want to help themselves.

The trip was an eye opener, very heart-warming, emotional and touching.
