READS Doorstep Education Programme

READS was founded twenty years ago with the aim of supporting the education of deaf and hearing impaired children in Jaipur. READS began by teaching three children in a small classroom, and has since expanded to encompass a school for 30-40 pre-school children, a diagnosis facility, a diploma course for teachers in deaf education, and an outreach programme.

We have been one of READS' largest donors, funding three of its projects:

• Monsoon Anubodh School building.
• Monsoon Diploma in Deaf education.
• Monsoon Anubodh Door Step Education Programme (an outreach programme for children in slum areas).

Today, we are funding the Door Step Education Programme, bringing education to deaf children in two of Jaipur's worst slums.
