VIDYA (Vidya Integrated Development for Youth and Adults)

VIDYA (Vidya Integrated Development for Youth and Adults) is an Indian charity that aims to support and empower disadvantaged women and children in New Delhi, Mumbai and Goa. Vidya runs an integrated programme of education, skills training and income generation projects, many of which have been supported by us - including the Bal Vihar Primary School in New Delhi, and a women's micro-enterprise scheme.

We are currently partnering with Vidya to provide education in Oklah, a vast slum in Delhi, home to 10,000 families. This includes remedial teaching for the children, helping women to develop vocational skills and micro-enterprises, and providing basic information on health and sanitation.
